The pre-Christmas period is always an amazing time offering unforgettable moments. The first snowflakes have already fallen, the towns have been lovingly decorated and you can already smell the unforgettable scent of gingerbread and mulled wine.
Starting from the end of November the traditional Christmas Markets are open to the numerous visitors and delight both adults and children with their fabulous advent program.

Christmas Market Bolzano
It is for sure the most famous Christmas
Market in South Tyrol and has become a true highlight of the winter period in the course of its more than 25 years of history.
Enjoy the pre-christmas atmosphere at
Bolzano's Piazza Walther and get overwhelmed by the magic of the traditional little wooden houses.
Discover many different and wonderful gift ideas as well as exclusive Christmas decorations available in several colours and shapes. Fragrant gingerbread, cookies and biscuits as well as hot mulled wine complete the offer.
From the end of November and up to 6th of January the town centre of Bolzano turns into a little, fairytale winter wonderland. Make sure you don't miss a walk through the white, fabulous winter forest at
Palais Campofranco, as well a stop at the huge
advent calendar at the Max-Valier-House, right in front of Bolzano's cathedral.
Christmas Market Trento
The traditional
Christmas Market of Trento is not far away either and can be reached easily from our Hotel Elefant in Ora and is really worth a visit. The medieval city with its
Castello del Buonconsiglio castle as well as the cathedral are fascinating for both adults and children.
The true highlight however is represented by the picturesque stands on the wonderful
Piazza Fiera, which put locals and guests into a fabulous fairytale-like Christmas mood.
Piazza Battisti for example is also called “the children's place” while 15 different stands called "
I Sapori del Mercatino" which offer a great selection of exquisite regional products.
Christmas Market Caldaro
Small, cosy, contemplative. At the
market place, just
next to the church and all around the central fountain you will discover a different kind of Christmas Market. Far from the traditional hustle and bustle you will enjoy the true get-together and the real pre-happiness of this wonderful period.
Beautiful chains of lights decorate the walls of the village centre's ancient buildings, a sweet-spicy scent of gingerbread and mulled wine lies in the cold air, and children's eyes are wide open contemplating the magical Christmas market. "
S'Kalterer Christkindl" - as it is called in German – is an idyllic place, which in just a few years has become a popular meeting place for many tourists and locals.
In addition to excellent hot drinks, the rustic-style wooden houses also offer sweet and salted delicacies as well as great selection of handicraft products. Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere at the wonderful Caldaro Christmas Market.
