It's true that Ora at the Wine Road is known for wine. However, the best of apples grow here too. More than a dozen different
types of apples are cultivated in the orchards surrounding Ora. Hundreds of
fruit farmers work with love for their homeland in order to preserve the
high quality of South Tyrolean apples, for which they are renowned all over the world.
In late summer/autumn, they work on the fields to pick the apples and harvest the reward for their hard work.
And who knows… maybe the area will soon be called "Ora at the Wine & Apple Road". A pendant to the South Tyrolean Wine Road is planned: Ora definitely has the best prerquisites.
