An ancient South Tyrolean proverb says: where you harvest a good wine, you will dine well. Never has a phrase been so appropriate. Especially in autumn, when the leafs get coloured and you can smell the fragrance of roasted chestnuts. That is the right time for Törggelen in Ora near Lake Caldaro.
Törggelen in Ora at the South Tyrolean Wine Road and eating chestnuts is an ancient South Tyrolean tradition by which people used to celebrate the harvest and welcome the winter. Today we still celebrate this old custom and serve tasty dishes and, of course, the new wine in the traditional Tyrolean wood-panelled Stube rooms.
For all those who want to live this tradition and turn their
stay in South Tyrol into an unforgettable experience, they can enjoy the Törggelen in our cosy Hubertus Cellar.
